Ken Sugimori (Japans: 杉森建, Sugimori Ken; geboren 27 januari 1966) is vriend van Satoshi Tajiri en illustrator van originele artwork voor Pokémon-games. Ontwikkelde ook conceptart voor films, en illustreert TCG-kaarten en merchandising.

Originele artwork voor alle 151 Generatie I Pokémon: gemaakt door Ken Sugimori. In Pokémon Red en Green tekenden verschillende artiesten aanvankelijk de in-game sprites. Sugimori tekende later elke Pokémon opnieuw in waterverf voor promotioneel gebruik. Daarbij herzag en verfijnde hij veel elementen, bepaalde uiteindelijk hoe publiek designs waarnam. Mogelijke voorbeelden: Pikachu, Vaporeon, Dragonite en Mew.

Sugimori's stijl veranderde merkbaar door jaren heen. Aanvankelijk gebruikte hij stijve, licht geschaduwde waterverfstijl, sterk doet denken aan visuele stijl van Akira Toriyama, vooral vanaf 1989. Zijn nu digitaal geproduceerde tekeningen van mensen en wezens kregen echter geleidelijk meer spierdefinitie, aanzienlijk rondere hoeken, zwaardere schaduw, en natuurlijkere, vloeiendere poses.
